Jambo Blast - Feb 2026 - Allyn’s Art

Dear Friends of Watumull Children’s Fund,

I want to introduce you to a very special person in my life, Mrs. Allyn Bromley.  She is an artist, a teacher, and has been an inspirational loving woman in my life since I was a baby!  She was one of the first donors to Watumull Children’s, and encouraged me and believed in our mission.  As we grew , she helped me buy the first crayons ever to give to our schools!  Her words were to me were “ Chichi, all children need food, but they need Art- it’s FOOD FOR THE SOUL!”

So it is with joy and appreciation for this wonderful artist’s influence in my life that we introduce Allyn’s Art, a program that will be operating in 5 different very poor schools in the slums of Nairobi.

We have hired a young Kenyan Artist, Kelvin Mbiru, who has a wide smile and a friendly manner that engages our students.  At Aunty Allyn’s suggestion, we are teaching first the basic elements of Art.  The above lesson is on Value.

         We are thrilled to add Art to our students’ lives, and thankful for our beautiful Art Teacher, Allyn behind the scenes!  We believe her influence will impact many generations of children to come!
