Jambo Blast - July 2024 Glorious Food!

Dear Friends of Watumull Children’s Education,

We are writing to you today about food.  It is our biggest expense every month.  We buy all the ingredients for school breakfast and lunch in bulk, thereby getting the best prices.

We serve uji (hot fortified porridge) every morning to all of our children and teachers.  Many have not had anything to eat since lunch the previous day due to food insecurity in their homes.

Lunch is protein-packed beans, rice, and cabbage.  We buy beans and rice by the truckful!

Our students have now been getting daily food for about 5-6 years now everyday.  There is an awesome change in their health!

There is a well-being among the teachers, staff, and pupils.  It is a gift we have been able to bring them because of the longevity and continual support.  For this I can only say thanks to all of you.  Together we are making a difference in these poor communities!
